As a grandparent, your grandkids need you now—big time!

Today, the demands and stress of everyday living shave away the hours parents have available for their children. “There just isn’t enough time in the day” is the battle cry for parents everywhere. I hear it from my kids, and I bet you do too. This is where you can help—we grandparents can be an emotional rock, a wise friend and a playful elder; the ‘go-to person’ when parents aren’t available. As a grandparent, I’m having the time of my life.

Hi, I’m Robert Martin. I wrote The Keira and Papa Detective Agency series in collaboration with my granddaughter. The books star a 12-year-old girl and her grandfather, Papa, who are spies, a secret that no one else knows. Together they solve international mysteries. But the books are more than just whodunits. They’re books that celebrate the grandparent/grandchild relationship – a relationship in which 12-year-old Keira and her grandfather openly discuss many of the life mysteries young people struggle with everyday.

I’m pretty sure that after you read a book from the Keira and Papa Detective Agency series, you will say to yourself, “I want to have a relationship like that. I want to be a grandparent whom my grandchild can count on even more than they do today.”

That’s where my website comes in. It’s designed to help you and a grandchild build your own special bond. It provides all the tools, activities and resources you will need. You can  share experiences, solve mysteries, get advice and even adopt a grandchild if you don’t have one.

So, if you would like to experience what it’s like to have a special bond with a grandchild, read all The Keira and Papa Detective Agency books. I’m sure your grandchild would like his or her own copies of the books from the series. Let Waffles, Keira’s misbehaving dog, show you how to use my website to get started. Then cherish the journey that will last forever.

Thank you for visiting my website and for your interest in my books. I know you’ll find them fun, enriching both your lives. Before you go, be sure to sign up with your name and email address in the bar above. When you do, you’ll receive a steady flow of new mysteries, shared stories and other activities to share or do with your grandchild.

Goodbye for now, and come back soon.
